A good friend recently had an opportunity to Subliminal360 Review change jobs into her dream profession--one she had trained for. This seemed like a possibility made in heaven and likely to both increase her income and land her where her years of study deserved. This was an exciting potentiality and seemed like the answer to a long held desire. I was celebrating for her good fortune and awaiting her good news. Surprised when I heard nothing, I asked what was going on.

She told me that she would not even consider a phone call to inquire about the details of the job. This seemed a stunning choice. There were many "reasons" for the decision but the bottom line ended up being a fear of the economic downturn resulting in her being a last-hired-first-fired-statistic.

Consider being open to all possibilities. Following up on them is not committing to them. Simply be inquisitive. You never know when a possibility is actually the chance of a lifetime. How would it feel to later discover this--after you've rejected the opening?Be aware of all the "stories" you make up that you use as reasons to close out your own options. Usually, these are simply versions of fear that we use to explain away as something else. We create a story about what is happening, could be happening, or might happen. Then we behave as if our made up story is true, and react as if it were true--saving ourselves from the riskiness of taking a chance.
