Technical teams

Technical teams are set to support the African Group on transformation and modernization of official statistics work.

Their missions are to propose, develop, promote, support and ease the implementation of guidelines, standards, for transformation and modernization of official statistics in Africa.

The teams report to the African Group on Transformation and Modernization of Official Statistics and are composed of experts from National Statistical Systems. ECA provides the secretariat.

Three teams have been established by the transformation and modernization group, namely:

         - Digitalization and Integration of data science initiatives

         - Survey methodolog

         - Coordination of the national statistical system and Statistical legislation
