Partnerships
The UN Regional Hub for Big Data and Data Science in Africa is committed to fostering a collaborative environment at the international, regional, and national levels to support the modernization of National Statistical Offices (NSOs) in Africa. The work of the Hub is underpinned by a commitment to promote the use of big data and data science as a means of addressing development challenges in Africa. Through these efforts, the Hub aims to empower NSOs in Africa to play a critical role in informing evidence-based policymaking and achieving sustainable development outcomes across the continent.
At the regional level, the Hub works closely with NSOs to strengthen support for regional big data priorities. This involves providing technical assistance to regional NSOs to develop their capacity in areas such as data collection, management, and analysis. Additionally, the Hub works in collaboration and engages in knowledge exchange with other regional hubs, the UN Global Platform, and other academic and research institutes across borders. Some of our partners are listed below. This facilitates the exchange of big data sources, case studies, and methods, thereby enhancing the capacity of NSOs in Africa.
